Fonderie Ferry Capitain
FERRY‑CAPITAIN is a French family-owned foundry founded in 1831.
From humble beginnings on the Marne river, the company expanded over time, establishing a blast furnace by 1835 and an 4t open-hearth furnace by 1901, enabling production of complex cast steel parts.
Today, Ferry-Capitain supplies heavy industry worldwide with large-scale components — from ring gears and compressor housings to turbine casing and other critical mechanical assemblies.
Already in the 1950s, the foundry pioneered ductile iron in Europe and patented its own alloy under the name FerryNod®.
Thanks to continuous innovation, advanced alloy processing and large-diameter machining capabilities, Ferry-Capitain remains an important manufacturer of advanced castings and machined components.
