FERAMO METALLUM INTERNATIONAL
The foundry in Brno - Horní Heršpice was founded in 1932 under the name Strebel Werke G.m.b.H Maheim. The production was focused on castings of radiator heating elements and boilers.
After the liberation in 1945, the company was nationalized and two years later merged into the Spojené slévárny a strojírny (United Foundries and Engineering Works).
In 1949 the foundry became one of the plants of Bohumín Ironworks and the production of radiators was relocated there.
The production portfolio focused on production of tractors parts and electrical components castings from now on.
During the second half of the 1960s, a complete modernization of the foundry has begun.
After privatization in 1990, the company Feramo Brno, today known as Feramo Metallum International, was founded.
