SCB Foundry
Ceske Budejovice foundry currently known as SCB Foundry was established in 1964 as a part of Skoda Plzen works. After the privatization the foundry became part of CKD Kutna Hora until 2007.
Production range was focused on carbon and low-alloy steel casting up to weight of 6 tons since the very beginning. Fluent melting and casting was provided by 5 electric arc furnaces in a row (4x 8t, 1x 13 t) and two induction furnaces.
Today the foundry operates three electric furnaces (8t) and manufacturing locomotives frames casts and equipment for petrochemic, automotive and marine industries.
However the foundry was shutdown in summer 2017 for good.
