When the last golden mine was shutdown in 1970 here, hardly anybody was expecting any chance for future re-opening. Now, after 40 years of silence the situation is getting brighter. Canadian company Kremnica Gold is planning to lunch new golden era here.

It needs to be mentioned that the gold mining in Kremnica has long tradition dating back to first half of 14th centry.
