It all started in 1881, when Václav Kudrna founded a small forging and engineering company in Hodonín. The worksho was later expanded by a foundry focused on simple fittings production.
The company prospered and the production capacities were significantly expanded in 1907.
In 1938 the works were moved to new premises in Hodonín-Bažantnice, where it stands today.
The construction of brand new grey cast iron foundry began during the 1960s and was put into operation in 1973.
The enterprise, which since the nationalisation in 1950 was called "Jihomoravská armaturka", became part of the Sigma concern in 1979.
In 1996 the works were taken over by Mannheim based Bopp & Reuther AG, but in 2001 already incorporated into the VAG Group, which then became part of the American Rexnord Group in 2011.
