Industrie Riunite Odolesi, I.R.O.

The Società Industrie Riunite Odolesi I.R.O. S.p.A. was founded on Nov. 19, 1951 in Odolo by a group of local entrepreneurs.

The first electric arc furnace was installed in 1960s together with one of the very first continuous casters in Italy at that time.
Innovation continued with the installation of a new continuous casting machine with a three-line rotating turret in 1989.

In 2000, a new 80-ton electric arc furnace was installed, followed by the state-of-the-art secondary metalurgy in 2007.

In 2011, I.R.O. introduces a new continuous casting machine for billet production and invests in the rolling mill to expand the range of high-quality steel products.

Today I.R.O. is a proud contributor to the rich industrial history of Odolo, manufacturing steel for construction, automotive, aerospace, infrastructure sectors.
