Acciaierie Venete, Sarezzo

The steelworks situated between the town of Sarezzo and the adjacent hill Monte Carlo (634m), was founded in 1963 under the name "Acciaierie e Ferriere Luigi Bosio".

However in 1967 it was bought by the company "Ferriere Lucchini S.p.A", which completely rebuilt the plant. Steel production was not resumed in 1975 again.

In 2003 the plant became part of the ´Acciaierie Venete´ group, which currently produces electrical steel and hot rolled products mainly for the automotive and construction industries.
