Anderlues coke plant

Cokerie d´Anderlues was one of the last active coke plants in Belgium till 2002. Technology developements in pig iron making and decreasing enquiry cut off the coke production tradition which lasted nearly 100 years here.
This tiny battery with surrounding puits no.6 is located south of Bruxelles in small village Anderlues.

Main gate without gate door, entrance free. Despite of it is the coking plant in very good shape, just slowly swallowed by green and rust.
