Fabbrica Italiana Lamiere - heavy plate mill

In the Val Polcevera valley, which cuts through the port city of Genoa from the north, there is an inconspicuous factory on the railway line.

It is the sheet metal rolling mill of the former ´Società Italiana Acciai e Tubi´ company, which was founded 1960 with a production programme focused on the manufacture of hot rolled sheets and welded tubes.

The works underwent complete modernisation in 2016, including a brand new rolling stand.
It currently operates under the name "Fabbrica Italiana Lamiere".
