koksovna Jan Šverma, coal bunker

Sverma coke works (former Ignat plant) were founded in 1890 together with rising Ignat colliery. Soon becomes the largest coke production site in the region.

Production was focused on blast furnace coke mainly.

The plant consisting of 3 batteries and coal washery was shutdown in 2010 for good. Production moved to recently refurbished Svoboda coke works.
