WINOA Le Cheylas

The industrial history of WINOA´s modern steel abrasives production plant dates back to 1920, when the "Société des Hauts Fourneaux et Forges d´Allevard" established its first electrometallurgical plant here.

After the joint venture between American company Bell Intercop in 1961 the entire plant underwent a major modernisation in 1972.

Since 2011 the plant is known as WINOA Le Cheylas, one of the most advanced abrasives manufacturer in Europe.
