Siderúrgica Atlas Divinópolis

One of many other charcoal blast furnace plants in Divinópolis was established at the suburbs of Nova Fortaleza in 1985 under the name "Fundivale Fudição Vale do Ipatecerica".

Following the bankruptcy of the original company, the site was purchased in 2023 by Siderúrgica Atlas, which completely modernised the operation and fully resumed production within a year.

The ironworks, with one blast furnace of 119 m³, has an annual capacity of 90,000 tonnes of pig iron.
