Sidermin Sete Lagoas

The development of the iron industry in Sete Lagoas boomed in the 1960s and dozens of charcoal blast furnaces, foundries and cement plants can still be found throughout the western suburbs.

This ironworks, as the southernmost part of the city district, was commissioned in 1969 with two charcoal mini blast furnaces.

Since 2002, it is known as Sidermin and concentrates on the production of high-quality pig iron.
